BluePrint Engines offers Ford 408 c.i.d. 450 hp Stroker base crate engines—with or without carburetor, distributor, and intake manifold. Here are the basic features and specs:

* Horsepower and torque: 450 hp / 470 lbs.-ft.

* Compression ratio: 9.8:1

* Hydraulic roller cam

* New cast steel crankshaft

* Forged pistons

* Forged I-beam 6.200 in. connecting rods

* Hand-picked seasoned block

* Square and parallel decked

* Line honed main bearing bore

* Cylinders honed on computer-controlled machine to within .0002 straightness and roundness

* Cylinders are sonic tested for thickness

* 2-bolt main

* 4.000 in. bored

* One-piece rear main seal

* Mech fuel pump provision: yes

* 4.000 in. stroke

* External 28 oz. balance front and rear

* Aluminum cylinder heads

* 60cc chamber

* 2.02 in. intake/1.60 in. exhaust valves
